Tributes to 'poor soul' who died in fall from Leeds tower block

Tributes have been paid to a man who fell from a Leeds tower block this week.

Police cordoned off a huge area around Moor Grange Court on Sunday evening.

Officers later confirmed a man was pronounced dead at the scene after a fall from the building.

People were quick to share their shock and sadness at the tragic news on social media.

Elayne Young wrote: "My old block. RIP to this poor soul and deepest condolences to his loved ones."

Wendy Elizabeth Norman sympathised: "So sad, I hope he’s found the peace us mental health sufferers crave."

Tina Tierney added: "So sad. I hope you are now at peace. RIP young man."

A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: "At 7.46pm yesterday, police were called to Moor Grange Court, West Park, Leeds, where a man had been found following an apparent fall from the building.

"He was pronounced dead at the scene.

"There were no suspicious circumstances and the Coroner’s Office has been informed."
