Tributes have been paid to a Clydebank man found dead in a flat as police launched a murder probe.
William Middleton's heartbroken sister led tributes to the 38-year-old after his body was found in a flat in the West Dunbartonshire town on Friday morning.
The victim was pronounced dead at an address on the town's Singer Street at around 3.50am.
Police Scotland confirmed on Sunday they had launched a murder investigation.
A 34-year-old woman has been charged in connection with the death and is set to appear in court on Monday.
William's sister Martine shared the Police Scotland appeal for information after writing on Facebook on Saturday: "Yesterday my whole world was shattered for me and my family as my wee brother was found dead he will always be in my thoughts and heart forever my wee brother RIP william middleton."
Scores of messages of support and tributes have been sent to the family following the death of William, who was known as Billy.
One friend wrote: "My condolences to you all. Billy was a cracking guy."
Another added: "Sending massive hugs to you all. Thinking of you all. RIP Billy."
The woman charged in connection with his death is due to appear at Dumbarton Sheriff Court on Monday.
Police Scotland has appealed for witnesses to come forward.
Detective Inspector Erin Renwick, of the Major Investigation Team, said: “This incident is now being treated as murder.
“Although this happened in the early hours of the morning, I would urge that if you have any information surrounding this incident to get in contact with officers."
