Former Hibernian player Junior Agogo has died at the age of 40.
The Ghanaian striker played 14 times for the Hibees after joining in July 2011.
Agogo scored once during his spell with the Edinburgh side, with his goal coming in a 3-3 draw against Dundee United .
He left the club in January 2012.
The striker also enjoyed a successful career down south with Sheffield Wednesday, Nottingham Forest and Bristol Rovers, while earning 27 caps for the Ghana national side.
Agogo suffered a stroke in 2015 and struggled with his speech afterwards.
He told a BBC documentary in 2017 that he felt anxious about his language.
Ex-Hibs goalkeeper Graham Stack posted on Twitter: "Devastated at hearing the news of the passing of friend and ex-Hibs team mate Junior Agogo, Junior struggled with his health in recent years but doesn’t make it any easier.
"We shared some great memories on the pitch and even more of them off it."
International team-mate and former Hibs defender Francis Dickoh said: "Absolutely heartbreaking news, my former Ghana international teammate Junior Agogo has passed! Way to to early. May your beautiful soul Rest In Peace."
Asamoah Gyan, one of his former teammates, added: “Gutted. Thanks for the memories Junior. RIP bro.”
