Tributes to 'beautiful human' Glasgow man as friends raise money for funeral after tragic death

Tributes have flooded in for a young man who died suddenly last week.

28-year-old Martin McIntosh from Glasgow passed away on November 24 leaving loved ones devastated.

A fundraising page has now been created by a friend to help Martin's family cover the costs of the funeral.

The GoFundMe reads: "I've set this up to try and alleviate any funeral and bereavement costs.

"Anyone who knew or was around Martin will know how much of a great guy he was. He brought immeasurable happiness to those around him and will be sorely missed.

"Rest in peace you beautiful human."

In the three days since the fundraiser was set up on November 25, more than £6,000 has been raised from an original £5,000 target with people leaving heartbroken tributes to him.

One person wrote: "What a true legend a boy that lit up any room and made everyone laugh until we meet again rest in peace."

Another added: "A smile that would light up an entire room, and one of the nicest guys I’ve ever met."

One friend posted: "So sad to hear, always brought good vibes and energy to any room. RIP my man."

Another said: "You were a unique island in a sea of blandness, will miss our banter "Ed", thoughts to your family."
