Tributes to 'beautiful boy' after death of man found injured in Scots car park

Tributes have poured in for a 'beautiful boy' after a man found injured in a Scots car park tragically died.

Adam Anderson, was discovered badly hurt on Ann Street in Greenock around 3.50pm on Sunday, January 2.

Emergency services raced to the scene and the 22-year-old was rushed to Inverclyde Royal Hospital for treatment.

He tragically died a short time later.

Those who knew Adam have described him as a 'beautiful' person as they shared emotional tributes on social media following his death.

Kirsty McGregor Burns wrote: "Another young life taken.

"An absolute beautiful boy with impeccable manners and the nicest nature. Never passed you in the street and always went out your way to say hello and have a chat.

"Had a big soft spot for you Mr!

"My heart is burst[ing] for your family.

"What a loss to everyone who loves him.

"All my love to your family who I know will be so lost without you.

"Adam Anderson."

Pal Paul Smith said: " Rest easy Adam ma man! Took too soon."

Josephine Brownlie Stevenson commented: "Gone too soon. RIP young man"

Donna Gormley said: "Heartbreaking news, his poor mum will be distraught."

"God bless you son this is a cruel world we live in", said Joanne Kennedy.

Cops have launched a probe into the incident and say their enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.

Officers were going door-to-door at flats near the car park where Adam was discovered, while forensics officers combed the area.

The area round the car park, which sits near a high rise block of flats on the street, was also cordoned off.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were made aware of a 22-year-old man who found injured at a car park off Ann Street in Greenock around 3.50pm on Sunday, 2 January.

“The man was taken to Inverclyde Royal Hospital but died a short time later.

“His next of kin are aware.

“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
