Tributes have been paid to a young dad killed in motorcycle crash in Glasgow on Sunday.

Phil McCloy has been named locally as the man who passed away after the incident in Govan at around 5pm yesterday.

Police say the 26-year-old man was travelling east along Govan Road, near to Canting Way, when his motorcycle lost control and struck a kerb, causing him to come off.

Emergency services attended the scene and he was rushed to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where he died from his injuries.

The stretch of road near to Ibrox stadium was closed off while police dealt with the incident.

Anyone with information is urged to contact police on 101, quoting incident number 2845 of Sunday, May 5 2019.
