Heartfelt tributes have poured in for missing man James Thomson after police discovered a body in the search for him.
James, from Moray, has been described by friends as 'one of the good guys' and a 'true topper of a lad'.
The 25-year-old, known as Jimmy, was reported missing on Saturday night after he was last seen in the Young Street area of the town
Officers confirmed a body has been found in the search for him in Burghead.
Tributes have poured in for the 'always smiling' 25-year-old across social media from loved ones.
One wrote: “R.I.P Jimmy Thomson a true topper of a lad always smiling and having a laugh. You'll be greatly missed gone far to soon."
Another friend said: “RIP Jimmy Thomson. Life and soul everytime we had a carry on! Rest easy bro.”
Another comment read: “Rest in peace Jimmy, couldn’t have met a nicer bloke.”

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “We can confirm that the body of a man has been found in the Burghead area, following searches for missing man James Thomson.
“The body is still to be formally identified, but James’ next of kin has been made aware.
“Members of the public are thanked for their assistance.”
