Tributes are pouring in for a missing Scot after police discovered a body in the Highlands.
We told how officers made the discovery during searches on Ben Loyal, Sutherland, on Friday morning.
Formal identification has yet to take place, but the family of Stuart Campbell, known as Nipper, have been informed.
The 33-year-old, from Dornoch, is believed to have travelled to Ben Loyal to the south of Tongue on July 25, two days before his family reported him missing.
Devastated loved ones took to social media to pay tribute to 'one of the nicest guys' who 'will be missed so much'.
One wrote: "RIP Nipper.
"You're going to be missed big time, rest easy, mate."
Another added: "Very sad, such a lovely guy.
"Thoughts are with his family and friends, he will be missed so much."
A third posted: "Rest easy Stuart - one of the nicest guys.
"You will be so missed."
Another commented: "Rest east mate, at least you're at peace.
"You're going to be missed so much."
Stuart's car, a red Suziki Swift, was found at a car park most regularly used by walkers accessing Ben Loyal.
The body has been recovered with the help of a Coastguard Helicopter.
A Highlands and Islands Police Division spokesperson said: "We can confirm the body of a man has been found during searches on Ben Loyal in Sutherland.
"The man has not yet been formally identified.
"However, the family of Stuart Campbell, 33, from Dornoch who had been reported missing, has been made aware.
"The body was found during the morning of Friday, 7 August during searches carried out by by the Assynt Mountain Rescue Team.
"It has been recovered with the assistance of the HM Coastguard helicopter."
