Tributes pour in for 'one of a kind' Crumlin 'legend' who passed away

Tributes have flowed in for Crumlin woman Alice Langan who has been described as a "legend" and "lovely lady".

Alice passed away "peacefully surrounded by her loving family in the wonderful care of the staff in St. James Hospital" on Sunday.

Crumlin GAA led the tributes to Alice, saying online: "Crumlin GAA were saddened to hear the death of Alice Langan.

"We would like to extend our sympathies to her friends and family."

Many friends and neighbours also went online to express their sadness at her passing.

One said: "RIP Alice a lovely woman. You were a legend and fond of a bit of banter with my dad Larry. Hope u are having the craic with him in Heaven. Condolences to her family at this time."

Another wrote: "Had some laughs with Alice, may she rest in peace.

A third said: "One of a kind, a lovely warm and generous person.. my condolences to all of Alice’s family."

Alice's funeral mass will take place on Wednesday at 11:30am in St Agnes Church, Crumlin Village.
