Tributes pour in for Liam Miller on second anniversary of his passing

Tributes have been pouring in for Liam Miller two years on from his passing.

His former clubs Manchester United, Celtic, Cork City and Hibernian were among those to pay tribute to the former footballer.

Celtic said: "Two years on, gone but never forgotten. RIP Liam, YNWA."

United tweeted: "Remembering our former midfielder, Liam Miller, who sadly passed away two years ago today."

Hibs posted: "Our thoughts are with the family and friends of former Hibernian midfielder Liam Miller today, two years on from his passing. His memory marches on."

Cork City said: "Today we remember Liam Miller on the second anniversary of his passing. One of our own."

Miller earned 21 senior caps for his country between 2004 and 2009 - he scored one goal.

Miller was part of the under-16 Ireland squad that won the European Championships in 1998.

The Irishman joined Celtic in 1997 and made his senior debut for the Glasgow giants three years later under current Ireland manager Martin O'Neill, before moving to Man United as a 23-year-old in 2004.
