Patrick Kriégel passed away peacefully at his home on June 19 as hundreds of messages have been flooding in for the Kildare man - formerly of Paris, France.
Mr Kriégel was the father of Ana Kriégel, who was subject to a violent attack, murder, and sexual assault in an abandoned house back in May 2018 in Lucan. He is “sadly missed by his loving wife, Aaron, Bruno, Nathalie, Phillippe and all his loving family and friends.”
Hundreds of condolences have been flooding in online, with one mourner writing: “Deepest sympathy to the Kriegel family on the loss of a dear husband and father. May he rest in peace reunited with his beloved daughter Ana. May you find comfort in your wonderful memories of them both. Thinking of you at this sad time.”

Another sent their condolences saying: “A surname that is forever etched in my memory. I offer my sincere condolences to your family Patrick on their sad loss and may you be reunited now with your beautiful beloved Ana, never to be parted again.
“May you now both rest in eternal peace, Amen.”
Among the hundreds of messages online, a third wrote: “Deepest sympathy Geraldine, and extended family, on the passing of Patrick, you are in our thoughts and prayers at this very difficult time for you all, Patrick is reunited again with his precious Daughter Ana, rest in peace.”
His Funeral Service will take place on Thursday afternoon, June 23, at Newlands Cross Crematorium at 2pm.
