Fife police division announced the death of Constable Carol Crawford who 'fought a brave battle with illness over a number of years.'

The well-respected officer paid a visit to the Police HQ in Glenrothes on October 1 with her parents, to say goodbye to officers and staff, before she passed away three days later.

"All of our thoughts are with Carol's family and friends at this time.

"Carol will forever be remembered by the Police family and those who knew her.

"Rest in Peace Carol."
