Tributes pour in for Barrhead man, 21, found dead on Thursday morning

Tributes have poured in for a popular Barrhead man found dead this morning.

Steven Ingram was reported missing after he disappeared from his home in Barrhead , East Renfrewshire, at 3.15pm on Monday, October 7.

Officers confirmed earlier today that the 21-year-old's body was found in the  Barrhead  area.

Police Scotland Inspector Stevie Now said: “Our thoughts are with Steven's family and friends at this sad and difficult time. Thank you to everyone who shared our earlier appeal for information and assisted with enquiries."

Following the tragic news, Steven's heartbroken pals paid tribute to him on social media.

Mitchell Cassidy said: "Can’t believe it man. Such a down to earth guy, one of the biggest hearts. Rest easy mate."

Jamie Thomson added: "So so sad to hear. Thinking of Steven's friends and fam."

Pal Richie Bain said: "Can’t believe it. The nicest guy you could ever meet and an absolutely top class boy.

"RIP Steven. Everyone is going to miss you mate."

Shannon Carnegie said: "Horrible news. Such a lovely boy. Rest in peace Steven. Thoughts are with his friends and family."

Sarah Carmichael wrote: "Such sad news to hear. Couldn’t of met a nicer guy. Sending love!"

Cameron Murray: added: "Such a genuine boy. Rest Easy Steven."
