Tributes pour in for 'absolute legend' Scots biker who died in crash with lorry

Grieving loved ones of a Scots biker who died following a horror crash near Loch Lomond hailed him as 'an absolute legend' who will be 'sorely missed'.

We told how Phillip Alan Buchan's motorbike collided with a lorry at around 4.15pm on Wednesday April 20.

The smash took place on the A82 between Tarbert and Inveruglas.

News of the 31-year-old's tragic passing sparked a wave of tributes online.

Friends and family took to social media on Friday afternoon to pay tribute to a 'really lovely man'.

One wrote: "Rest in Peace.

"I worked with Phil briefly many years ago, a really lovely man.

"So sad."

Another added: "Sorry to hear this news.

"I knew Phil from taking my car down to his garage in Dumbarton.

"Thinking of all his friends and family at this sad time."

A third posted: "Thoughts are with all Phil's friends and family.

"He was a gent of a guy."

Another commented: "Heartbreaking news

"I knew Phil through work and through his garage absolutely brilliant guy.

"Thoughts and condolences to Phil’s family at this sad time.

"Rest easy Phil."

A fifth wrote: "Devestated, Phil was a brilliant guy.

"Rest in peace mate."

Another added: "Absolutely heartbreaking news

"Phil was a genuine absolute legend of a guy.

"Rest in peace mate, you will be sorely missed."

Police expressed their condolences and urged anyone with information on the crash to come forward as their probe continues.

Sergeant Hugh Niccolls, said: “At this time, our thoughts are very much with the family and friends of the deceased.

“I’d like to thank the public who stopped at the scene and have provided statements to officers.

"We continue to appeal for any further witnesses to come forward.

“If you have any information on this incident, please call police on 101, quoting incident 2388 of April 20.”
