Tributes pour in after Radisson Red Glasgow's resident pup Baxter dies

Tributes have poured in online after the Radisson Red Glasgow's resident pooch and youngest team member Baxter sadly passed away at the weekend.

The hotel near the SSE Hydro shared the unfortunate news on Facebook, via a post which read: "Rest in peace wee man. A sad, sad day at RED yesterday as we said goodbye to our youngest team member - Baxter. Baxter passed away suddenly and unexpectedly. Our thoughts are with his mum, Nicole."

Baxter was a familiar and much-loved sight for guests staying at the high-tech hotel, which was Radisson RED's first ever in the UK when it opened to much fanfare back in August of 2018.

The Boston terrier would often be spotted roaming the hotel looking for four-legged friends (and pets) during the day and would go home for a snooze with the hotel's lead coach at night.

News of his passing was greeted with sadness by people who have stayed at the hotel, with one former guest writing: "So so sad has the pleasure of meeting him when we stayed at the hotel".

And another wrote: "Oh no so sad, we were always looking to see if we could see him during our lovely stays at the hotel. Sending lots of love to Nicole and all the team".

Our thoughts are with Baxter's mum Nicole.
