Tributes pour in after K-pop star Goo Hara found dead at her home

Popular K-pop singer Goo Hara has been found dead at her home in Soeul.

Tributes have been pouring in this morning for the 28-year old former Kara band member.

Local news channels report she was found on Saturday evening at her home in Gangnam's Cheongdam neighborhood.

Gangnam Police Department said in a statement: "We received a report on November 24, 6:30 pm KST about a death.

"We are currently investigating the cause," they said, as reported by the Independent.

Fans have written messages of condolence about the Midnight Queen singer on social media with one posting: "My heart cannot handle this" and other said: "Rest easy little angel".

Following the split of Kara, which included band members Youngji, Gyuri, and Seungyeon, Hara released her solo album in 2015.

The death of the K-pop singer comes one month after the death of South Korean singer Sulli, 25, who was a member of the group f(x).

As Sulli and Hara were good friends, fans on social media have commented on how they were worried Sulli's death would affect Hara.

One said: "Goo Hara has now joined her best friend. Sorry for being unheard. May you both rest in peace".

BBC's South Korea correspondent, Laura Bicker, tweeted that she is "awaiting more details" of the death, adding: "So sad".
