Tributes pour in after death of popular Dublin GAA fan Nikki Murphy

Tributes have been pouring in following the death of popular Dublin GAA fan Nikki Murphy.

A native of Hartstown, she passed away on Tuesday following an illness.

The Dublin GAA Fans Facebook page posted: "Heartbreaking news that True Blue Nikki Murphy from Hartstown has passed away after an illness.

"Thoughts and prayers are with her partner Stewie and sincere condolences to all of Nikki’s friends and family at this devastating time.

"Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam."

Another Facebook user commented: "Heartbreaking news an absolute inspiration to us all RIP Nikki. Thoughts and prayers are with your family, partner and friends so very sad.. Condolences to you all."

Someone else said: "So sad, my thoughts and prayers are with her partner, family and friends at this sad time, Nikki you were such an inspiration to all, heaven has gained a beautiful angel, rest in peace nikki."

Another commented: "Absolutely Heartbreaking Thoughts and Prayers with Nikki's partner family and friends at this very sad and difficult time. Fly High Beautiful Angel."

A private funeral will take place for Nikki at St Ciarans Church, Hartstown on Friday, followed by burial in St Fintans Cemetery, Sutton.

Those who cannot attend the funeral due to current Covid-19 restrictions can sign an online book of condolences here.
