Tributes have poured in after the body of a missing Edinburgh woman was found in Fife.
Irene McArthur was reported missing from the Little France area last week amid concerns for her welfare.
The family launched a social media campaign to find the 59-year-old following her disappearance.
However, Ms McArthur's niece has taken to social media this afternoon shortly after her aunt's body was sadly discovered in Fife.
She said: "Unfortunately Irene has sadly passed away. Her body was found in Fife today.
"We would appreciate it if you could give the family space to grieve."
Tributes have since poured in, with many saying they were sorry for the family's loss.
One user wrote: "My heart goes out to you and your family."
