Tributes have been paid to a 'truly wonderful' Scots pensioner after a body was found after a horror house blaze.
Huge structural damage was caused by the inferno at the home of Terry Glendinning, 82, which broke out around 10.30pm on Monday, May 3.
Due to the damage a full examination of the home in the Dores area, near Inverness, could not be carried out.
Now police have confirmed that a body has been recovered from the property.
Police have said that formal identification is still to take place but the family of Terry have been told of the find.
Detective Inspector Reuben Lindsay, from Inverness CID, said: "A joint investigation into the full circumstances of the fire remains ongoing, in partnership with the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service."
Locals have paid heartfelt tributes to Terry.
One wrote: "I am so sorry to be reading this! Terry was a truly wonderful man."
Another added: "Absolutely heartbreaking news, condolences to the family."
