Tributes have been paid to a tragic Irish man killed after an accident on a road in Cork.
Cork native Michael McCarthy, 20, was involved in a horror crash between a car and a motorcyclist on Thursday.
A car and a motorcycle collided on the N20, in Rathgoggin North, Charleville tragically killing two men.
They have been named as Michael McCarthy who was driving the motorcycle at the time and 73-year-old Peter Hefferan who was driving the car.
Mr McCarthy from Batt Donegan Place in Charleville, Cork and Heffernan from Dromcollogher in Co Limerick were both pronounced dead at the scene.
Tributes have poured in for Michael, one posted online about the 20-year-old : "It's such a cruel world.
"RIP to Mikey McCarthy.
"I just cannot believe this, no doubt in my mind you are gone straight to heaven because you were the most pleasant, well mannered, young fellow."
Another said: "So sad. Rest in peace Angel. Our condolences to the family at this hard time."
One other added on Facebook: "Rip Mikey McCarthy, another young life taken too soon, such a cruel world.
"May God give you A good bed in Heaven."
A notice on RIP.ie said: "The death has occurred of Mikey McCarthy of Charleville, Cork / Kilmallock, Limerick, following an accident.
"Nephew of the late Dooley, Michael, Paddy and Kathleen (Daly) O’Driscoll.
"Deeply regretted by his heartbroken parents Theresa (O’Driscoll) and Mike, fiancé and mother-to-be Courtney Ryan (Banogue), grandmother Anne O’Driscoll, grandparents Kathleen and Pat McCarthy (Kilmallock), sisters Annie, Margarita and Katie, mother-in-law, father-in-law, brothers-in-law Jamie, Ian and John, uncle, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
