Tributes have been paid to a 'super fit' young man who collapsed and died whilst 4,000 miles from home.
Talented young rugby player Henry Foster, 20, was in America for a rugby scholarship at Central Washington University when 'out of the blue' he suffered a cardiac arrest.
Henry was put on life support and was 'kept alive' just long enough for his family to arrive to travel to the Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle in order that they could 'say goodbye to him properly.'
One of Henry's close friends, who has helped raise thousands of pounds in his memory, has now paid a heartwarming tribute to him, a year on from his shock death.
Sean Brogan, met Henry, from Hull and who was a huge Liverpool FC fan, at sixth-form college. He told the Liverpool Echo he was a 'genuine lad', a 'born winner' and' 'the kind of guy everyone loved.'
Henry's family set up a GoFundMe two days after his death to raise money to bring his body back to the UK and managed to generate £100,000. And Sean, who said took up the challenge to 'make Henry proud', has run eight marathons in seven days to honour his life.
"It was out of the blue you hear of these things happening but you never think it will happen to one of your mates. I've never met someone so popular he was a genuine lad," he said.
"He was super sporty and super fit, everyone just got on with him he did not have a bad bone in his body. Anybody who met would tell you that and I think that speaks volumes."
"We did the first two marathons in London and they were tough. It was really long and difficult and I thought I had bitten off more than I can chew," Sean added.
"It was just one foot in front of the other and on the last day, we ran 37 miles. I hope Henry would be proud of what I did and his family were right behind it. I hope we did him proud."
