Tributes have been paid to a pensioner who tragically died in a farm accident on Thursday.
Danny Mullins passed away in an incident on a dairy farm in the village of Kilbehenny on the Cork and Limerick border.
Emergency services were called at around 4pm, but Mr Mullins was pronounced dead at the scene.
And tributes have been pouring in for the hugely popular granddad, who was described as a "pure gent".
One local wrote: "Sincere sympathy to all the Mullins family on the tragic loss of Danny. A pure gent of man and his one liner phrases will always make me laugh. RIP."
While another added: "What a Lovely man whose smile gave you a lift. Sincere sympathy to all his family and God bless."
And Mr Mullins' family announced that he will be laid to rest in a funeral service on Sunday afternoon in Kilbehenny.
A post on RIP.ie reads: "Danny will be sadly missed by his heartbroken wife, daughter, sons, sister Mary (Fitzgerald), daughters-in-law Judy and Tricia, son-in-law Clem, grandchildren Katie, Christine and Ned, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.
"Danny’s funeral cortege will leave his residence on Sunday at 1.30 pm for funeral mass in Kilbehenny Church at 2pm with burial afterwards in the church grounds.
"In keeping with Government and HSE Guidelines the mass will be limited to family and close friends up to 50 people and we ask those attending to maintain social distancing.
"The family thank you for your support and understanding at this difficult time."
