Tributes paid to popular Perth teacher and rugby player

Tributes have been paid to a popular Perthshire sportsman and teacher after he died this morning.

Adam Pattinson passed away as a result of a road traffic accident while on his way to work at Craigclowan Preparatory School in Perth.

He was well-known as a player and captain at Perthshire Rugby Club.

In a club statement, chief executive of Perthshire Rugby Allan Brown said: “We are totally devastated.

"The thoughts and prayers of all members of our club are with Adam’s wife Claire, his son, Fraser and Adam’s family.

"For many, many years Adam has been at the centre of our Perthshire Rugby family as a player, captain and club captain.

"We shall miss him greatly. We will comment and pay tribute further at an appropriate time”.
