Tributes paid to popular Glasgow man who 'touched everyone's hearts' after sudden death

Tributes have been paid to popular man from Glasgow after his sudden death.

Heartbroken pals took to social media to leave memories of "one in a million" Liam Gildea, described as a "legend" who "touched everyone's heart".

It is unclear how the Scot died at this stage, but it believed he passed sometime over the weekend.

One person wrote: “You were a bright and beautiful person that made so many people smile.

“The world’s full of so many horrors and you tried to see the comedy in everything. You’re going to be missed by so many people and I wish I had the chance to know you better than I did because the people that did loved you so much.”

While another commented: “What a legend you are Liam.

“Everyone who knew you loved you and thought so highly of you.

“You touched everyone’s hearts and will always stay in our hearts. Till we meet again my friend.”

And a third posted: “Just can’t take this in, lost for words. Thanks for the laughs and memories, you really were one in a million Liam.”

Police Scotland have been contacted for comment.
