Tributes paid to popular barman after 15 years in Howth pub

An establishment in Howth has paid tribute to its beloved barman following his retirement.

Ray Olohan worked at Wright's Findlater for 15 years. He was an integral part of the busy bar and restaurant.

Ray's colleagues wished him well on his retirement in a Facebook post. They admitted they would miss their co-worker "terribly" and praised his natural ease with customers.

Staff wrote on Facebook: "Today the one and only Ray Olohan poured his last pint in Findlaters. His passion for customers was second to none and we will miss him terribly- especially the Cheltenham tips, giddy up!"

Photos show Ray beaming as he pours his last pint from behind the bar. Staff also gathered outside the boozer to take a group photo with their colleague.

Many people wished him well on his future endeavours underneath the post. They described Ray as an "absolute gent" in their tributes.

One person wrote: "Took me under his wing when I worked there. He will be missed- Ray the legend."

Another added: "Wrote the manual. Best of luck in your retirement Ray.. long may you enjoy it."
