Tributes have been paid to a popular whisky shop boss who died suddenly at 47-years-old as he was remembered as a "true gentleman".
Scott Dunn, from Inverness, passed away on May 11 at his work place The Whisky Shop.
The manager and dad-of-one was fondly remembered as "one of the nicest bosses" ever by former employees who were devastated to hear of his death.
Tributes poured in for Scott online as heartbroken pals remembered him for his passion for whisky and genuine personality.
One ex-employee said: "So sad to hear about the death of my old manager at The Whisky Shop in Inverness at such a young age. Scott Dunn was one of the nicest bosses I’ve had and so passionate about whisky.
"I remember him saying to me that once you have worked in whisky, it’ll be a incredibly useful thing to know about for the rest of your life and he was right. I think what I learnt from working there over uni holidays has made me appreciate and understand it far more than I ever imagined I could that first day I walked into the shop to hand over my CV and was greeted by Scott’s massive smile!
"Such a loss, RIP mate, I’ll make sure I have a dram for you."
Local funeral directors William T. Fraser & Son posted their condolences on Facebook and described Scott as a "dearly loved dad".
They said: "Passed away suddenly on Tuesday 11th May 2021 at his place of work. Scott Dunn of Brinckman Terrace, Inverness aged 47 years.
"Manager of The Whisky Shop, Inverness. Much loved husband of Mary, dearly loved dad of Aaron, devoted son of Leslie and Cathie, dearly loved brother of Jillian, son-in-law, uncle, cousin and friend of many, will be sadly missed."
Pals of Scott quickly commented on the post to express their sadness at the loss.
One person said: "Such heartbreaking news.
"One off the loveliest guys we have ever met. We have known Scott since he was a teenager and have very fond memories Our thoughts are with our darling friend Mary and Aaron and all Scott’s loving family."
Another added: "So very sad.
"Scott was a total gentleman and a friend for so long. RIP my friend."
One remembered him from as far back as 1995.
He said: "I remember training Scott in 1995 in Drumnadrochit before he moved to The Whisky Shop in Inverness. A lovely young gentleman who has passed away too soon. RIP."
A former colleague added: "So sad to hear this news lovely bloke and work. Colleague at Invergordon. And enjoyed crack in the shop. The cran twins. Saturday won't be the same. Kind thoughts to all family members."
Scott's funeral is due to take place at 12pm on Monday.
