Tributes have been paid to a young dad who has been described as 'one of life's true gems'.

Partner Natalie changed her Facebook profile picture to Graham's 'favourite' snap of the couple.

She captioned it: "He always said this was his fav picture ever of us, why did this need to happen".

The devastated mum's sister also posted a heartfelt tribute saying life would "never be the same".

She posted: "My heart is absolutely shattered tonight.

"It’s breaking for my little sister Natalie, it’s breaking for Graham who we all loved so much & breaking for all his beautiful family who mean the world to me.

"I am devastated beyond words & I can’t believe we will never see your face again & listen to your amazing one liners & be in stitches at your patter.

"We had a good conversation last weekend and you seemed so upbeat..... I wish I could turn back time to last weekend to have a proper word with you."

Devastated pals also took to Facebook to share their disbelief over the sad news.

Darren Townsley said: “Don't even know what to write so shocked one of the best guys a knew gutted man rest in peace bro thoughts with the family heartbreaking.”

A JustGiving page has since been set up in a bid to raise money for his family.

A post on the site read: "[sic] Grahams death will leave a massive gap in many lives which will never be filled.

"He was one of life's true gems. He made friends every where he went and was known by everyone. Graham really was one in a million."

Police Scotland have been contacted for comment.
