Tributes have poured in after the teenager who was killed during a car crash in Tipperary earlier this month was named locally as Rhys Horgan.
The single-car crash happened on the N74 at Kilfeacle on Thursday, March 18.
All three occupants of the car were taken to Limerick Regional Hospital, including Rhys who was described as being in a critical condition.
He dies from his injuries last Thursday.
Since the news was confirmed over the weekend, those who knew Rhys have been paying tribute online.
''So sad a wonderful young man taken in his prime condolences to Barbara his brother and sister and extended family'' said one response.
''Rhys was one in a million'' added another.
While a local boxing club trainer posted a long, heartfelt tribute to Rhys, who was a member of the club.
''A happy, funny young man who liked everyone and in turn who everyone liked back.
''It is definitely true what they say that God only takes the good people when their young because Rhys was one of the good guys. Rest easy buddy from all your boxing family and on behalf of us all at the club our sincere condolences go out to his mum Barbara and all his family and many friends.''
The club said they were then considering a way to remember Rhys at their training centre.
''We will discuss at a later time between ourselves and his family about perhaps having a memorial tournament in his honour.''
Gardai are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
