Tributes paid to 'larger-than-life' biker killed in crash in Cardiff Bay

The family of a motorcyclist who died after a collision with a bus on Friday April 3, have paid tribute to him.

Michael Clark was pronounced deceased at the scene of the collision which was on James Street near the junction with Mount Stuart Street in Cardiff Bay at approximately 6.30pm.

The 34-year-old from Canton was treated by emergency services at the scene but died as a result of his injries.

The A4119 was closed in both directions, between Harrowby Lane and Bute Street, following the collision which happened outside a mini-supermarket.

His family have now paid tribute to Mr Clark describing him as a 'larger than life character'.

They said: "The whole family are absolutely heartbroken at the tragic loss of Michael, known to many as Clarky.

"He was a unique cheeky-chappy, larger-than-life character with a big smile and an even bigger heart. He was truly loved by everybody who knew him and will leave a gaping hole in our hearts”.
