Tributes have been paid to a popular farmer who died in a tragic accident in Co Kilkenny.
Hugh Hutchinson passed away last Friday afternoon close to the village of Kells.
Mr Hutchinson died while he was carrying out repairs to a combine harvester, RTE reports.
And tributes have been pouring in for the popular farmer, who was described as a "true gentleman".
President of Munster Rugby, Michael Keane, was among those to write to the family, saying: "We are so sorry to hear of Hugh's untimely passing; but be assured that you are not alone during this sad time - the Munster rugby family are with you, shoulder to shoulder. "
While another wrote: "Our deepest sympathy to Fiona and the extended Hutchinson Family on the sad loss of Hughie. A true gentleman always. May he rest in peace."
And Mr Hutchinson's family announced that his funeral will take place in Kells today.
A post on RIP.ie reads: "Pre-deceased by his parents, Terence and Elizabeth. Deeply regretted by his loving wife Fiona, mother-in-law Pearl, sister-in-law Trisha, brother-in-law Sean, extended family, relatives, neighbours and a large circle of friends.
"Safe in the Arms of Jesus.
"Due to HSE and Covid-19 guidelines, and with the support of Hugh’s family, a private Funeral.
"Service will take place on Tuesday 23rd June, with burial afterwards in St. Mary’s Churchyard, Kells at 4pm.
"A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
"The family would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their understanding and support at this difficult time."
