Tributes paid to 'gentle' dad killed in wall collapse at Scottish farm

Tributes have been paid to a 'gentle' Scots dad who died after a wall collapsed on him in a horror accident at a farm near Falkirk.

Peter Walker, 53, was one of two men who both died while working on old farm buildings at Myrehead Farm, Whitecross, off the A803, between Linlithgow and Falkirk at around 10.10am yesterday.

He and and a workmate were both pronounced dead at the scene.

Two others were taken to hospital and it is not believed they have sustained life-threatening injuries.

Friends have posted tributes to the tragic 53-year-old, from Blackburn, West Lothian , after his heartbroken daughters Nicolle and Rachel shared images of their dad on Facebook.

George Murphy said: "Totally gutted for yous nicolle your dad was one of the best".

Two dead and two in hospital after wall collapses at Scottish farm

Emergency services rushed to the incident, but tragically two of the men were pronounced dead at the scene.

One of the injured men was taken by ambulance to the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary, while the other was airlifted to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow.

Chief Inspector Damian Armstrong, Local Area Commander for Falkirk said: "My thoughts and sympathies are with the families of those affected by this incident and a multi-agency inquiry at the farm is ongoing.

"If anyone believes they have any relevant information that may be of use to this investigation then please come forward and quote incident 1081 of the 6th May."
