Loved ones have said the world is a 'darker place' without her smile as they remember their 'darling girl'.

Katy has been described as having 'such a brilliant personality', as family friends said she would 'always do anything to help someone out.'

Heartbroken mum Tracy Bulpitt paid tribute, saying: "Our precious angel."

Friend Rachael Phillips added: "Last night - one of my Scentsy ladies lost her beautiful daughter Katy, only 12 years old, after a fatal Asthma Attack.

"Totally heartbroken for the family and you are in my thoughts at this awful time!

"Life is so cruel, sleep tight little Angel!

"The world is a darker place without your wee smile."

Morgan Smith said: "Rest easy Katy," while Isabel Rodgers added: "RIP Wee Angel."

Carbrain Boys Club, a local football team in the area, have organised a charity match in Katy's memory.

A statement from the club said: "The Club are pleased to announce we will be holding a charity match between our coaches and Dukla Pumpherston in memory of Katy Bulpitt.

"Katy was a pupil at Our Lady's High School, Cumbernauld.

"As a community club we are hoping as many Cumbernauld residents can attend to support the family at this difficult time."

A Gofundme has been shared to help Katy's family pay for the funeral and help with Christmas.

The organisers are asking for donations from people in the local area.

The fundraising page reads: "We are fundraising in memory of Katy Bulpitt.

"Katy suddenly passed away at the aged 12 years old, leaving behind Kallen, Maycee, Charlotte, Carter, Marissa and her devastated Mum Tracy Bulpitt and Martyn.

"I am asking for people to donate anything that they can afford, Just £1 would be a massive help towards funeral costs and also with Christmas just round the corner.

"Katy had such a brilliant personality and she would always do anything to help anyone out.

"She was well known within the Sandyknowes and Walbrae community for helping out with dog walking, taking the younger kids to park or even just chapping the door for a wee chat.

"She will be missed by everyone.

"Let’s show Katys family how loved she is within our community."
