Tributes paid to 'beloved' Dublin-Wicklow Mountain Rescue volunteer on anniversary

Tributes have been paid to mountain rescue crew member Kevin Hallahan on the anniversary of his death.

Kildare man Kevin, 43, lost his life after falling from Crib Goch, a narrow ridge located on Snowdon Mountain in Gwynedd, Wales in September 2017.

The Cork IT worker was volunteering in a training exercise with the Dublin-Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team when the accident occurred.

The mountain rescue team paid an emotional tribute to Kevin on the 4 year anniversary of his tragic death.

A post on Facebook read: "Hard to believe that it’s four years since we lost our dear friend and beloved teammate, Kevin.

"He is remembered by all of us at DWMRT today and every day. His positivity and joy left a lasting impression on anyone lucky enough to have known him.

"Kevin Hallahan, Wicklow 5.6, still on the hill."
