Tributes paid to 'beautiful, sassy, bubbly and kind-hearted' teenage girl who died following car crash in Cheshire

The family of a 'beautiful and sassy' teenage girl who died following a car crash have paid tribute to her.

Georgia Ogden, 17, was a passenger in a Suzuki Swift which collided with a HGV in Astbury, Cheshire.

The smash took place on Peel Lane, with the junction of Newcastle Road, at around 2.30am on Thursday, June 25.

Georgia, known as Gee or Oggy to friends, was taken to North Staffordshire Hospital where she later died.

Her family are being supported by specialist officers.

The said in a statement released through Cheshire Police: "We will never make any sense of this devastatingly tragic event and how our beautiful babe has been snatched away from us in an instance.

"Georgia was a stunningly beautiful, sassy, bubbly and kind-hearted soul who lit up any room from the moment she walked in.

"She was known by everyone for her beautiful smile, infectious laugh and randomly breaking out into song and dance.

“Gee has touched the hearts of so many during her 17 years with her amazingly funny personality and loving nature.

“She will live on forever in all of our hearts.”

Two other girls, aged 17 and 18, also sustained serious injuries as a result of the crash.

They both remain in hospital.

The driver of the HGV did not require hospital treatment.
