Tributes paid to 'beautiful girl taken too soon' after fatal Midsomer Norton crash

Tributes have been paid to a 'beautiful girl taken too soon' after a fatal crash in Midsomer Norton.

The woman, who has yet to be named by police, died after her Honda Jazz collided with an Audi A5 on Northmead Road on Wednesday (July 31) at around 10.30pm.

Officers have arrested a 33-year-old man on suspicion of dangerous driving.

Floral tributes have now been laid on the roadside for the driver, who tragically died at the scene.

Huge bouquets have been placed on the pavement, alongside cards and messages.

One reads: "Going to miss your beautiful smile - love always."

While another reads: "A beautiful girl taken too soon."

A spokesman for Avon and Somerset Constabulary told our sister paper Somerset Live : "The driver has been released on police bail, pending further enquiries.

Appeal for witnesses

Avon and Somerset Police has launched a major appeal for witnesses.

A spokesman for the force said: "We're keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident who may have information to help our enquiries."

Anyone who witnessed the collision or has any information is asked to contact the police on 101 and quote reference 5219175733.
