Tributes paid to 'amazing dad and husband' as two men arrested over murder

Police have launched a murder probe after the death of a dad in an Aberdeenshire village.

Anthony McGladrigan, 51, was found injured in a home in Cuminestown, Turriff , yesterday morning. He was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary where he sadly died as a result of his injuries.

A 20-year-old has been charged with murder.

Another man, 22, was arrested in connection with murder but has been released pending further enquiries.

The 20-year-old is expected to appear in court tomorrow.

Anthony's family described him as 'amazing' as they paid tribute to him in an emotional statement.

The statement read: "Tony was loved, brave and an amazing son, husband, father, brother and exceptional friend. He will be missed every day.

"The family are devastated and would like privacy at this difficult time."
