Tributes paid to 'adored' dad who died after 'contracting serious infection'

Tributes have been paid to an "adored" dad who died after allegedly contracting a serious infection.

Police have launched an investigation into the May 6 death of Ben Larry, 32, with one man arrested in connection.

Family members hailed Ben as someone who "touched so many hearts" and was "loved by everyone."

Cops confirmed they are investigating the circumstances surrounding his death and said a 35-year-old man had been arrested in connection with the case. He has since been bailed, reports TeessideLive.

Following Ben's death, Cleveland Police issued a warning to the public of the dangers of unlicensed tattooists, urging those considering booking a tattoo to check the Body Art Register prior to doing so.

A statement from the family said: “Our precious, adored, kind and caring son was loved by everyone. He touched so many hearts. No parent should lose a child, no child should lose their daddy and no grandparent should lose a grandchild.

"Our hearts are broken, we are so lucky to have our two beautiful grandsons to keep his legacy and our memories of him alive."
