Tributes paid following tragic death of Airdrie teenager

THE heartbroken brother of an Airdrie teenager who has tragically died has begged for “five more minutes” with his beloved sibling.

Tributes have poured in for Christopher McGee, 17, who had been reported missing after vanishing in Chapelhall on Monday morning, August 3.

Cops issued a desperate appeal to find him yesterday, but his devastated family confirmed last night that the search had ended in tragedy.

Christopher’s shattered brother Brendan said he’s “never felt pain like this”.

Paying tribute on social media, he added: “RIP brother. Lost for words, don’t have a clue what am going to do without you man.

“I love you so so much man, I would do anything for 5 mins with u again.

“Never felt pain like this in my life, GBNF.”

A fundraiaser set up to give Christopher “the best send off” has already raised more than £1000.

Stunned friends also took to Facebook to pay tribute to “young, handsome” teen Christopher.

One said: “RIP Christopher McGee, you were one in a million.

“Thanks for always being there when I needed someone to talk to.

“Fly high angel you’ll be missed. Forever young.”

Another wrote: “Devastated at the news I’ve just found out, rest easy Chrissy.

“Honestly my heart’s in bits. This world is such a cruel place.

“Another young one took too soon! Will forever be in my heart helped me through my good and bad.

“My angel forever, young handsome. Until we meet again.

“It’s not a goodbye, it’s a goodnight sleep tight. See you on the other side.”
