Tributes paid as victim of Letterkenny motorbike crash named locally as Alan Devenney

Tributes have poured in after the victim of the fatal motorcycle crash on Sunday evening in Donegal was named by local media as Alan Devenney.

Alan was a father of three children, Leona, Jordan and Craig.

The incident occurred at approximately 4.55pm on the N14 between the Dry Arch roundabout and the Port Road roundabout.

Gardaí from Letterkenny attended the scene.

They said his motorcycle collided with a jeep and a tractor, leaving him in a critical condition at the scene.

He was removed from the scene and taken to University Hospital Letterkenny where he later passed away.

Fianna Fáil Councillor Paul Canning told donegaldaily that Alan "was liked by everyone. He was very hard working and very charitable in supporting local causes. He ran a very successful business and had plans to expand."

Those who knew Alan paid tribute on Facebook.
