Professional boxer Georgia O'Connor has died at the age of 25.
The Durham native revealed earlier this year that she had been diagnosed with cancer, having previously battled ulcerative colitis.
O'Connor had a successful amateur boxing career at junior level, winning a gold medal at the Commonwealth Youth Games in 2017. She turned professional with promoter Ben Shalom's Boxxer and remained undefeated in her three professional fights.
In a statement, Boxxer said: "We are heartbroken by the passing of Georgia O'Connor. A true warrior inside and outside the ring, the boxing community has lost a talented, courageous and determined young woman far too soon."
"Georgia was loved, respected and admired by her friends here at Boxxer. Our thoughts are with her loved ones at this difficult time."
Just two weeks ago, O'Connor shared on social media that she had married her boyfriend and changed her surname to Cardinali.
Tributes have poured in from the boxing community, including from fighters Jack Catterall, Molly McCann and Chantelle Cameron.
England Boxing highlighted her achievements, saying: "A gifted boxer and beloved member of the amateur boxing community, she won medals at the Commonwealth Youth Games, Youth Worlds and European Championships."
