Tributes paid as Irish rugby director's daughter dies at age of 21

Tributes have poured in for the daughter of IRFU official David Nucifora, who died just days before Christmas.

Tragic Katie Frances Nucifora passed away on December 20 at the age of 21.

It is believed that the Brisbane native moved to Sydney last month from the Gold Coast.

Her father David is a former Australian international rugby player and performance director of the IRFU since 2014.

Many people on social media expressed their condolences to the woman's family and offered their sympathy.

One person wrote: "Sending love and thoughts to the Nucifora family.

"Katie was a beautiful girl, a fond friend of mine at primary school. A soul taken too soon."

Another person said: "Words are not enough to express my sorrow for you and the pain you must all be feeling."

Katie Frances is also survived by her mother, Annabel, brother Jack and sister Isabella.

She was laid to rest at a funeral on Friday in the Palm chapel of Macquarie Park Crematorium, in the northern suburbs of Sydney, Australia.
