Tributes poured in for an Irish nurse who tragically died during a half-marathon event in Australia.
Loretto Harvey, originally from west Clare, has been described as a "dedicated" nurse who left an "indelible imprint on the lives of many".
It's believed she collapsed and died while taking part in a 21km run during the Townsville Triathlon and Multisport Festival in Queensland.
One friend posted on Facebook: "Amazing lady! She has left an indelible imprint on the lives of many in her short life. RIP Lottie."
A second person said: "Loretto Harvey was not only a runner, she was a flight nurse with the Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia who had compassion and love for the people of the outback."
Another added: "Condolences to her family. She’s a heroine in my book cause she worked for the RFDS. They are amazing."
The Rural Flying Doctor Service said: "Ms Harvey had been a dedicated flight nurse with the service for more than a decade."
Loretto, who was a native of Querrin, Kilkee, died during the event on Sunday, August 25.
A service was held for her friends and relatives in Co Clare on Tuesday evening.
And a funeral mass will take place today, Wednesday, at 12pm at Doonaha Church. Her ashes are to be buried in Kilcrona Cemetery after the service.
A funeral notice said: "Funeral Mass on Wednesday 11th at 12.00 noon followed by burial of Ashes in Kilcrona Cemetery, Carrigaholt."
