All those at Limerick FC have expressed their condolences at hearing of the passing of their former goalkeeper Freddy Hall.
The Bermuda international was a fan favourite in his three seasons there from 2015-18 during which he clocked up over 40 appearances.
The club wrote: "It was with great sadness that we learned this morning of the untimely death of Freddy Hall who served the club with distinction during his time here.
"The club extends its sincere condolences to Freddy's family at his tragic passing."
Hall was clearly a well-liked character in the Treaty County judging from the numerous tributes paid to him in the time since word reached of his untimely death.
Limerick Live soccer correspondent Mike Aherne shared a number of photos with Hall as he spoke highly of how he was always giving of his time.
He said: "A legend in his few years at Limerick FC, fan's favourite, player's favourite, media favourite and all-round nice guy.
"RIP Freddy Hall. You'll be forever remembered as a No.1 here. To his family, former teammates and his goalkeeping coach Eddie Hickey we send deepest condolences."
Former teammate Paudie O'Connor also added his testimony to what a likable teammate Hall was.
He reflected: "Devastated to hear such sad news. One of the best I had the pleasure of playing in front of.
"He was an instant favourite in the club and city in such a short space of time which shows you the type of guy he was.
"My thoughts and prayers are with his family. Rest easy Fred."
During his time on Shannonside, Hall was a key cog in them earning promotion to the Premier Division as well as going on an unlikely cup run all the way to the EA Sports Cup final in 2016.
Prior to Limerick FC he had played for clubs such as Northampton Town, Chester City and Oxford as well as having a stint at Toronto FC.
