Tributes paid after death of 'devoted father' and 'inspirational' Arnold school teacher

Family, friends and colleagues of a much-loved Nottinghamshire teacher have shared their tributes following his 'sudden' death.

Simon Pringle had been a teacher at Richard Bonington Primary and Nursery School in Arnold "to so many children over the years".

The 47 year old was also described as a "devoted father" and a "dedicated" member of the school's community.

The school is part of the Equals Trust who confirmed the news of Mr Pringle's death on Sunday, November 1.

A statement from the Trust, read: "Late on Sunday evening 1 November 2020 we learned that our Class 11 Teacher Simon Pringle – colleague, friend, teacher to so many children over the years and a devoted father died very suddenly.

"Simon was very popular with pupils and staff. He was a dedicated, kind and generous member of our school community and our hearts go out to his family and friends.

"Richard Bonington Primary and Nursery School’s motto is ‘Together we will make a difference to the lives of our children’.

"Simon embodied our school ethos and represented it completely in the roles he performed within our school.

"We are sure that the strength of our school community will be invaluable to Simon’s family and to our pupils and colleagues at this sad time.

"Our thoughts are with Simon’s family at this time."

Mr Pringle's family also provided this statement: "We are devastated over the recent and sudden passing of Simon who was an incredible person and father.

"Thank you to everyone who has shared anecdotes of their interactions with him, either in his professional life as an inspirational teacher or personal life regarding his amazing sense of humour and caring character."
