Tributes mount at scene after three people die in BMW roundabout crash

Flowers and tributes have been left at the scene after three people were killed in a crash on East Prescot Road.

Two men and one woman died following the incident in the early hours of Monday, April 26.

Emergency services raced to the scene after they were alerted to the crash close to the Greyhound Pub at around 12.15am.

Three people - a man and woman in their 20s and a man in his 30s - were taken to hospital, where they sadly died.

Police have said their families have been informed and investigations continue

Floral tributes have been laid at the scene of the fatal crash in Knotty Ash.

Bouquets of flowers can be seen left on the damaged roundabout in tribute to the three people killed.

Tributes have poured in online from Echo readers who wished to pay their respects.

One person said: “So sorry to all involved, so tragic xx”

Another commented: “So so sad, thoughts are with their families and their poor children. So said.”

A third said: “So sad. More young lives lost. Rest in Peace.”

Police are appealing for information and have urged anyone who witnessed the collision or captured anything on CCTV or dashcam is asked to contact (0151) 7775747, or via @MerPolCC on Twitter or ‘Merseyside Police Contact Centre’ on Facebook, with reference 21000264565..
