Tributes have flowed after the 'heart-breaking' death of a Ballymun local who was described as "a good skin" and "such a nice man".
The Poppintree community are mourning following the "heart-breaking" death of local Robert 'Robbie' McMahon.
Robbie passed away "peacefully" on Monday surrounded by his loving family.
The beloved Dubliner was a father of three and also had three grandchildren.
Tributes have poured in for Robbie by friends and Poppintree locals who described him as "a good skin".
One said: "Very sad news, lots of fond memories of Robbie growing up. Condolences to all his family and friends, may he rest in peace."
Another wrote: "Such a nice man, so sorry to hear about the news. Prayers with his family."
A third friend said: "Very sad news about Robbie, really didn’t expect this outcome. He got to be with his family so hope it helps them in some small way. RIP Robbie."
And a fourth said: "Very sorry to hear this he was a good skin and condolences to all his family."
His funeral will take place on Friday afternoon at 2pm at Glasnevin Cemetery, and will be available to watch online here.
