Tributes flood in after sudden death of Dublin barman Jamie Boud at 21

Tributes have been flooding in for a young Dubliner, Jamie Boud, who died at the age of just 21 on Monday, January 16.

The young man, who was from Dublin 11, worked as a barman in popular Dublin pub Peadar Browns and is the son of former Sinn Fein Councillor Cathleen Carney Boud.

In response to the news of his death, Peadar Browns shared a heartbreaking tribute to the young man on social media, saying he was "part of their family".

In the post, they wrote: "He wasn't just our barman, nor just our friend, he was a part of our family here and this place will never be the same again without him.

"RIP Jamie. Condolences to Andy, Cathleen, Derek, Corina, Eleanor, Chris, Mary, Geraldine, Donna and all of the Carney Family."

Jamie's RIP.ie notice was later posted, and read: "Beloved son of his heartbroken parents Andrew and Cathleen, brother Derek and sisters Corina and Emily.

"He will be missed so much by his mam and dad, brother and sisters, grandparents, aunties, uncles and cousins of the Boud and Carney family, his closest friends, his girlfriend Guste, the staff and customers of Peadar Browns, and by so many people who knew him and loved him so much.

“His beautiful heart will live on in the life he has saved with organ donation”.

His funeral service will take place in Glasnevin Crematorium on Monday, 23rd January, at 2.30pm.

A fundraiser has been organised to help alleviate the financial strain and funeral expenses for the Boud family, which you can donate to here.
