Tribune media company in boardroom turmoil

A boardroom split has increased speculation about the future of Tribune Co, the media company that publishes the Los Angeles Times and Chicago Tribune and runs several TV stations. Three board members, representing 12.2% of Tribune's shares, have opposed a plan to buy back $2bn worth of shares. Now there is a belief that the group could be broken up, possibly spinning off its television interests. (Via Los Angeles Times - Business)
