Trey Quinn removed from the game with a concussion after brutal hit

Washington Redskins wide receiver Trey Quinn has been ruled out of the rest of the game with a concussion that he received on a punt return in the first half of Sunday’s game against the Carolina Panthers.

Quinn, who was back deep to receive the punt, was contacted early by a Panthers’ gunner, who lowered his helmet and hit Quinn in the head. Quinn initially popped right up and seemed fine, but he later entered the medical tent and walked to the locker room, where it was determined that he was out for the game.

Many people have been clamoring to have the undrafted rookie Steven Sims Jr. return punts instead of Quinn, and it appears that will likely be the case for the rest of the game as Quinn is out.
