Trey Ogden vs. Nick Browne headlines LFA 76 in Kansas

A lightweight fight headlines LFA’s first trip to Kansas next month.

Trey Ogden (12-3) is set to take on Nick Browne (8-1) in the LFA 76 main event, the promotion recently announced. LFA 76 takes place Sept. 13 at Hartman Arena in Park City, Kan. The main card airs on AXS TV.

Also booked for the card is a pair of bantamweight bouts: Eric Ellington (7-1) vs. Jacob Thrall (5-2-1) and Steven Graham (6-4) vs. Johnny Marigo (4-1-1).

“I am excited to announce that LFA will be coming to Kansas at LFA 76,” LFA CEO Ed Soares stated. “Trey Ogden has looked amazing inside the LFA octagon. He returns after a third dominant performance for us in February. He will face Nick Browne, who is a talented BJJ black belt from Pennsylvania. This will be an exciting main event for our first visit to the Wichita area.”

Ogden, who trains with UFC fighter James Krause in Kansas City, has won back-to-back fights and three of his past four. At LFA 60 in Febbuary, he took a unanimous decision from Anthony Baccam to build on a decision over Lucas Clay in December 2018. Overall, he’s 3-0 for LFA and also has wins under the Victory FC and Bellator banners.

Browne started his pro career 7-0, including a win under the WSOF banner. BUt he fought just once each in 2016, 2017 and 2018, and his bout against Ogden will be his first of 2019. In June 2018, he submitted Jeffrey Pelton at Pinnacle FC 17 to get bcak on track after a decision loss to John Gunther in 2016, which was the first setback of his career.
